Is it legal to make moonshine?

Idk but my Neghibor had some apple cider flavored shine and it was GOOD. And it snuck up on me.

When I was a kid I would visit my Grand Parents in eastern Tennessee. I went by train. They would always send me home with two boxes of fruit jars, one box of shine and one would be apple jack. The apple jack is shine with apple slices in it. The shine would eat the meat off the apple and there would be twisted apple skins in the bottom. My Dad was always very appreciative.

I usually make up a batch of apple pie to take down to the lease for the opening of gun season. Everybody loves it that night but the weird thing is I am the only one that wakes up and makes it to the stand the next morning.

We called that the "hairy buffalo" mixer. entry fee was anything that could be dumped in the trashcan and mixed together.
