    Diet Challenge March 1

Working out at the YMCA 3-4 days/ week both elliptical trainer and free weights.

Playing volleyball 2 nights per week.

Went for acupuncture to have the sugar/ carb cravings 'turned off' (and it actually worked- I don't have the late night cravings for cookies, etc. any more).

Feeling a lot stronger. ......and have not lost a pound.

Bill it is hard to do but you may consider eating a carb and protein every 2 1/2 to 3 hours small portion. I had a friend put me on this and its good for about 2# lost a week

You may not see any weight loss for 4-6 weeks.

Tell me more about this acupunture procedure.....never heard that one before?

I am down 80lbs. from Dec 27th. Gastric bypass worked. not cheep and not fun, but it does work if you get to the point that you are ready for a change.

I'm almost afraid to describe it- Cali has a reputation for some far-out nonsense.

Basically, I started seeing a acupuncturist (I have a hard time saying doctor, so I don't) several years ago for facial tics I had since childhood. I went the 'conventional' medicine route, and a neurologist told me the medication he could give me would have side effects worse than the symptoms I wanted cured. 3 treatments later, tics were gone. About 1x per year I go for a 'recharge' on my nervous system.

What happens? I lay on my stomach, she puts little, painless (sub millimeter diameter), sterile (they come out of sealed packaging) needles in different locations on my back, neck, scalp and sometimes ankles. She hooks up a ver low voltage to several of them, I feel a slight tingle. 30+ minutes later, they're removed. I always joke "so this is what a deer feels when I stick him", but I doubt it.

This time, she put the little needles in a couple of other places on my back and neck. That was honestly it.

I'm as right-brained and analytical (thinker vs feeler) as they come. I just don't ask "why" it works, just "how".

Started at 274. Currently at 270. I think my original goal was 260 by easter. 10 lbs to go in 3 weeks. Been working out more consistently the last 2 weeks but haven't dropped anything yet while working out.

Back to working out following Nov 27th back surgery...been at it 4 weeks, but getting really at it for two. Lost six lbs over last month. I chalk most of it up to giving up all chips and sweets for lent.

Fifteen to twenty and I'll look half as svelte as Devin looked in all those pics from Bownanza...(anyone asked him if he has worms)?
