Weird mass in lung on Doe. Graphic !

Tazhunter shot a Doe yesterday ,3 1/2 y o. She had milk, raised a fawn this year. When I field dressed her I felt a hard lump in her lung area. Cut it open & found this mass. It was greenish colored.

That's why I put graphic in the title. It was like a block of cheese . Took up most of one lung. Maybe an old injury ? Idk. Ideas ?

Did you cut it up enough to see if it was a fibrous mass that had enclosed a bullet or BH?

Could be the result of a single lung hit in years past.

Its just a guess but I bet that lung was punctured and filled and the deer has been living on one lung. Tough critters. I shot one that had been single lung shot by the neighbor about a week prior.
