I suppose I could make this an exciting story but on Nov 18 my arrow flew harmlessly over the back of a 180"+ Kansas Buck. A perfect symmetrical 12 point at roughly 18 yards.
No blame game except for severe buck fever which changed to severe depression in seconds. I'm still not OK.
The property owner noticed that I had an arrow missing and said that I had either killed or missed the buck he called "Bone Head". He laughed pretty hard at his miserable joke.
I stayed 2 more days only to see Bone Head coming out at another trail 100 yards away. I just waved goodbye, and wished much luck to the magnificent animal.
