    Need a new cooler

Needing to get a new marine sized cooler. I know we all love YETI but I am needing something a little lighter on the wallet. Whats a good value cooler I should be looking for?

If you're looking for a "replacement" cooler (not a lifetime cooler like Yeti, Brute, Engel, etc), it's hard to beat a Coleman Xtreme.

And I say this yet I own 6 Yeti's. I bought Yeti because I got tired of replacing coolers every few years. I USE my equipment!

I love my Coleman. I think it's hands down the best out there for the money. My 70 quart kept ice for SEVEN days the last time I filled it.

Notice the amount of ice left in these coolers. I have the IRP cooler tested here. It is a beast.

Coleman Extreme / I have Yeti as I use my coolers year round. Just keep your eyes open for used Yeti's and be ready to buy. Guy on my shift got two 120's for $200 at a garage sell. I got two for the boat for $500.

Drop the cash and buy a good one.

Coleman Extreme if you opt for a lower end unit. Nice cooler just disposable.

I noticed that and also noticed that Yeti wasn't the "winner" in this test. I don't have a need for keeping ice longer than 5 days at a time. Yeti's are readily available here and don't have to order or drive 2+ hours to find another brand. I've never priced the IRP coolers but I doubt they're cheaper than what I can get a Yeti for.

I use a 7 day maxcold cooler, hinges are the only thing I need to replace

My next cooler investment will be a brute

I have used the Coleman Extreme 70 to get bear hides from Quebec to TX and they have done great. Actually I have one I'm selling if anyone wants one. $45 only used once on the plane

The new Brutes are really good and quite a bit cheaper than a Yeti.
