    High Fences

How does high fencing say two or three sides of a property work out? Is it likely you will see the same amount of game or does the fence restrict movement and change up the whole dynamic of the property?

All depends on the size and shape of the place.
I would say 3 sides will keep in a much larger % then 2 sides on any occasion

On 2 sides it acts like a big funnel.

On 3 sides it acts like a big backstop.

If the fence is new, you may see a change in movement but it will settle down. During the rut, bucks will travel the new fence looking for the end.

What about fencing in about 5 acres and putting just does inside the fence?

what if your ranch is octagon shaped?

you hunt in duval county? I don't know where exactly you are, but I bet some high fence would help

What are the laws regarding this? Is it only regulated if you fence all sides? I think I have heard about a law that requires you to make an effort to remove native deer before closing the fence. Fact or fiction?

I'm sorry if this is unrelated to the OPs question. I can start my own thread if so.

Yes in Duval towards Rios way. I don't really have enough land to high fence for game (100ac), but thinking about fencing certain sides of it to restrict the two legged animals if you know what I mean.

two leggers can climb, or carry wire cutters. From the outside looking in it may be inticing to the two leggers.
