    ATF Form 4

Is there any reason to not own a gun requiring this form? I've heard things like the ATF can enter your home anytime to check your weapons, your a target for the Gov't, etc. Is any of this true. Besides the $200 stamp, is there any particular reason to stay away from this class of weapons?

What if you decide to sell the weapon and do you have to buy the stamp for every weapon that you purchase?

No reason I can think of but I'd go the Trust route. That way other family members and friend scan legally use it if you wanted to loan it. Form 4 and ONLY you can use it or people in your presence.

Yes the atf can inspect your weapons, but they have to notify you and they just cant show up at mid night and demand to inspect them.

If you sell the weapon and the buyer is out of state you have to go through a c3 dealer and transfer the item to him then the buyer has to purchase stamp in his state. If you sell them in state you can transfer the item to them directly after they get the form 4 approved.

Not to be rude, but I don't believe you can loan any of your class 3 stuff to someone at any point and time regardless of individual transfer or a trust. I believe the executor of the trust must always be present.. you can just hand it to your buddy and say have fun but bring it back..

Unless of course they are listed as executors in the trust..

Trust is the way to go for sure and Buff is Right. If they are in the Trust they can use it. Contact Sean Cody to set up your trust, great guy that will answer all your questions.

As far as not wanting the ATF come and inspect em.... Dont Break the law and you have nothing to worry about.

I havent heard of anybody being inspected on a whim.... The ATF usually dont go to law abiding citizens to check their stuff out... They have some notably big fish to fry. (I could be wrong) but I've personally never heard of it, unless you happen to also be a drug dealer, pedophile, that sort of thing.

I've had form 4 stuff for 20 plus years. I've never heard from BATF. I have had black helicopters fly over my house but my tinfoil hat has kept them from landing.

Sean Cody may be good.....but I was told by someone at his office when I called that it'd be at least a week before he could get it done. He also charges $450!!! I had mine done by an attorney who's done numerous trust's in Ft. Worth. I used Cole Bryan off Hulen and I-20. He charged $250 and had mine done in 30 minutes!! 817-570-9200 Just something to think about!

I hadn't ever met him before I arrived at his office and he treated me like an old friend. I bought my SBR and can through Silenced America in Carrollton. He was suggested by Scott at SA.
