Junction area rut?

Our lease is approx 10 miles north of Junction. I assumed that the rut would be in full swing by Thanksgiving, but we have only seen small bucks giving the girls the run-around, and sometimes they're not even interested. Does the rut normally hit it's peak in December there? I'm going back next weekend to make another run at them, but I'm a bit confused about rut timing at this point. Is it over, just getting started, or is it just a soft rut this year?

No sign of the rut yet in Ozona. Our rut has been between thanksgiving an the 2nd week in December for the past 8 years on the place. I'm headed up this Thursday for a week. Hopefully they will be running by then. It's been pretty tough out there this year.

It started in Barksdale the weekend before turkey day. We went to the ranch last Friday and the bucks are running the does really hard.
