Dave, the floorplate is not plastic. Looks to be aluminum or a light-weight alloy.

Nice to see you chose the 22-250 over the .223.
How come you choose the shorer model 7 over the longer varmint rifles. Just curious. Sweet looking rig.

Mike, I own two other bull barrels and while they are nice, they get heavy when packing them around setting up for coyotes. I wanted something in a sporter-weight rifle. I don't think this thing weighs 8lbs. with everything on it.


Mark, I think I am gonna like it. Will have to do some shooting with it to know for sure. Maybe I won't be doing electrical work this next weekend and can test it out.
