well me and my best friend decided to go out to his ranch today and do a little calling! we get to his plce around sun up and got all situated. get out to our lucky stand, and its a dry one. oh well, on to the next location. on the way there in the truck we spot two yotes running away from us in the cow pasture, so i get out, prop up on the hood and sqeeze on off! all i see is a yote doin the spin, and his partner cant seem to figure out what happened and is bounding up over the grass trying to find his freind, i take two shots at him and miss. we went to get the one i shot and never found it! that grass was knee high and super thick, really ticked me off!!
-here was our second setup

it was dry as well.....oh well. next
we took a break for a while, hooked up his water for their new cabin down there and went back out.
stand #3, over looked a pond and the river bottom, really looked great!(sorry no pic here). i start gettin on my rabbit call and after about five minutes we start hearing some grunts? i just assumed it was a hog down at the water hole, so i continue to call, and the grunts get louder and closer. soon, we see a black hog come running in our direction. the hog stops, so i give it a few sounds of the little rabbit, and it takes another run in our direction for a bout 10 yds, stops again, give it a few more, and its a full out charge almost to where we were sitting! my partner then decided to put an 80gr 243 right through the shoulder! never called in a pig before! pretty exciting though!
