Electric gate opener

I've installed Apollo for 17 years now and the first one I installed is still going great. A little advise though. Put in a gell cell battery. You will never remember to put water in the acid cell until the gate gets slow and it will probably be burn up. Gell cells I've put in for the openers last many years and are well worth it.
If your designing a gate try to put the opener on the bottom rail of the gate so it won't show up and ruin the design of the gate. If you can't do that then put a middle horizontal rail in to put it there. It makes a lot of difference on the looks of a nice gate.
If there is live stock in the pasture then be sure to put the box close to the hinge of the gate and enclose all wiring in flexable metal tubing. Live stock love to chew on wiring.
Be sure to look at the table of solar cell size as compared to how many openings you expect in a day. It's on the first page.
Weld, don't bolt, the bracket that the opener arm is attached to on the gate. If it's bolted then it will come loose, it's just a matter of time.
If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

In the country, they are king, because they still work for days when the power is out. They also have a by pass in the unit so if some function is keeping the opener from working, you can use it and still get in and out. In heavy residential applications, the Elite is the top choice. It is hard wired right in to the electric.
