        Bavarian mountain bloodhound - if u can afford one.

        Otherwise, a Lacy.

          Yep, Bavarian Mountain Hound. I would no way put a Lacy as #2 though. Not sure how the frown face got on there, guess I fat fingered my phone.

            I would think any dog would be better than none, but some type of a bloodhound would get my vote. I'm considering a teacup yorkie tracker. She would have two jobs- to find deer via blood trail, and provide me with companionship.

                            I have a catahoula and he has done very well for his first yr...I think you can get any type of hound and train them to track blood, it's all about the training. Labs are good too, that's all Tara plantation uses and they are running a business. I've ran my little west highland white terrier on mock trails for the hell of it, that little dog can track some blood, momma would kill me if something happened to her though . All depends on what kind of dog you want around the house
