    Snake boot question

Wanting to get feed back on Snake Boots before buying. I'm thinking about getting the 'Cabela's 15" Pinnacle™ Zippered Snake Boots with GORE-TEX® Scent-Lok®,' which are on sale for $99.99. The reviews online are mixed, so if anyone has these or can suggest a different kind please do. I'm only able to spend about $125 total.

Jump on those at that price! I love mine and wear them constantly at the lease which is very rugged country. I have never been cold in them and they are comfortable as a pair of running shoes.

I'd look at the Justin outlet store in ft worth. You can get some pretty nice Chippewas for under $125.

I got some bargain cave for 89 bucks 4 years ago. Been to hell and back. This year had to do the silicon waterproof spray. Before that been water proof even shin deep wade fishing for whites. Foot sensitive and I love them. Except in oct, but sure wish I had em on when I came up on a copper head. Go for it!!!!

Get turtle skin gaiters instead, you'll love em and very light weight!

I'd buy the best ones I've got some Chippewa square toe boots

I prefer the Justin's. Easy on, easy off and comfortable.

I have some rocky's that are real comfortable & lightweight. Been wearing them over 6yrs and they just started leaking. Picked up a another brand and, you get what you pay for I guess. Not as comfortable to walk around in but my feet
Are dry. My advice, try them on. Walk around the store a bunch ! And then where your boots everything you go into the woods !

Go try them on and walk around in the store for about an hour. I didn't have time to get to Cabela's so I bought some Gamewinner's. Felt comfortable but to keep from getting blisters I have to tape up spots on my feet.

Got other items I want right now, but by next season, I'll get a different brand and use these as an extra pair.

I always liked mine and still have some. A buddy of mine said his leaked. I use Chippewa waterproof ones now and they are expensive but I really like them.

this may not be relevant but imma 2nd the gaiters instead of snake boots. i guess it depends on your useage.
if you're sitting all day get the snake boots, if you're hiking all day get the gaiters.

snake boots will give you more protection but they're generall very heavy. i cant even image doing a 10 mile hike in those.

the way that we hunt...doing lots of walking, gaiters or snake guard chaps are the only way to go. they're lighweight, easily removeable and cheap.

pick what works best for you

Thanks everyone. I walked around with the ones I have questions about for about 20 mins and felt good. With everything y'all have said, going in the morning after I get off work (7:30am) to get them. Might spend more since I'm getting more on paycheck than thought.
