I'm partial to the Navy but then again I will have been in the Navy for 19 years Friday. I think any branch can be a good choice. It all depends on what you want to do.

I was an army officer for 10 years, but after finding myself in some undesirable places, I should have listened to my dad and gone in the Airforce.

My top choices do far would be

                1.) Air Force
                2.) Marines
                3.) Army
                4.) Navy
                5.) Coast Guard

I'm just making sure I'm getting into something that going to have good benefits on me getting a good paying job once I'm out of the military or you never know I might like it do much I might want to make a career out of it.

I am struggling with the same question but I want to fly but I know the chair force is off the list. I want to go army and fly helos but the officers don't get much air time so I would have to go warrant officer. If I went navy or marines I could have a shot at jets but would rather stick to the helos. Or I could drop the dream of flying and go navy and do SWCC or SEAL as an officer. If I went army I feel like I would be cutting myself short of not being an officer... Still have a year left before I get my degree in my hands but would really like to figure it out. Sorry to hijack kinda.

Air Force. But I'm biased. What jobs plays a bug role. I have 3 brothers in Army they like it. Air Force takes care of you.

Nice. Chair Force and you probably know nothing about it. I've spent more time outside the wire than a lot of my Marine and army friends. I think you need to make it through a basic training first before you make to big of plans my man.

Navy! I joined at 16yo on delayed entry program, went to bootcamp at 17yo. Was in 6 years. 2 weeks after I got out I was an equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments, based soly on the two years Electronic Technition Training the navy gave me.

I'ver got a buddy that spent two tours in Vietnam as Marine recon, his son wanted to join the Marines and he threatened to lock him up. Kid joined the Coast Guard.....
Times change. Its 2012 not 1961. All branches are doing ground combat even navy seabees (spl). I train AF troops daily that are doing outside the wire missions.
