Maybe it's just the concussion talking...

but I thought this was funny, even if it is somewhat embarrassing.
I have driven 100's of T posts in the last 40+ years and this never happened.
I was building a new ground blind and was driving a T post into some pretty hard ground. Decided I would give it a really good whack with the driver. Pulled it up a little too far and came off the top of the post. On the way down I snagged the top and the driver levered down and hit me square on top of the head. The blow knocked me to my knees. Shook it off and finished driving the post. Went back to the truck to get more stuff and felt sweat running down my forehead. Wiped it with my sleeve and came away with blood. Took off my cap and saw a big splotch of red. Drove back to the house (1/4 mile) and got an ice pack and Tylenol. I think I'm gonna be all right but wife is gonna keep an eye on meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeertuuhjk lp[uyughbnm, loiurdeswxdf

Good thing you hit your head, otherwise you could have been hurt!

OUCH! We were building a feed pen and were taking turns with the driver. One guy was getting tired and I offered to spell him but he insisted on finishing that post. Well that last stroke was one too many - it got away from him and bonked him on the top of the head. He went to the ground and that little button on the top of his ballcap split his scalp and the blood was streaming. We had not come up with a name for that stand/feeder location so it was forever referred to as "Headknocker"
              Hope you heal up quick!

Arrowdynamic, I feel your pain literally. I did the same thing about six weeks ago. My left ear stopped up on impact, and is just now getting to where I am hearing normally again (or I'm just getting used to it). I am so glad to know that I'm not the only one to do this. My older brother was there and saw it happen. He was a paramedic for about 20 years. Did he come help me or check on me? No, he was too busy rolling around on the ground laughing.

Been there, and got the t-shirt . Just ask brotherBill. I thought I had bit my tongue off. Didn't even know I had split my scalp open till Bill said something about my white visor turning red . Put ice on it to control the bleeding for awhile. Shaved my head down when I got home and could see I needed several stitches. So I "butterflyed" it all shut. And went to work the next day. Took a while to grow my hair back too .

Best to ya on getting it all back together .
