This is an old thread but I have a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 that I bought in 1987 it has not been opened, but based on information on thier site it will keep indefinately if sealed. Might be pretty smooth by the time I finally decide to open it.

Nothing in particular just the right time and place.

Cask is no more unfortunately. It was discontinued late 2012 according to Wikipedia.

Rumor has it the distillery where it was made burnt down.

Is this hard to find now or did I get a cheap bottle?
Pretty tough to find! 12 year isn't the greatest IMO there's other I like better but when u get up to the 23 yr the stuffs hard to beat. And u won't find it hardly anywhere. It's 3-400 a bottle in store easy

I've had almost everything y'all listed but blantons I want to try it. It sounds good.

R&R Reserve...cheap I know, but I don't like "smooth" whiskey...sneaks up on me too much!

If you want a good low cost bourbon this stuff is hard to beat. About $20/handle and would still be a bargain at twice that price.

                  W L Weller Special Reserve
$20 a fifth in 90 proof. Great sipping whiskey, excellent mixing with coke.
