Finally got my 300 blackout!! I have a couple Questions??

I've waited about a month for my 300 Blackout to get here. 300 is one the bipod, I like the hand grip bipod combo. My suppressor should be here within the next week then the paper work and wait begin. I'm going to a 9 inch barrel once my suppressor arrives.
Couple of questions for you blackout guys.
Anyone completed the paper work and received your suppressor, what was the time frame? I'm hearing 6-8 month's. I'm doing a individual can registration.
What ammo are you shooting unsuppressed and then suppressed for you suppressor owners.
    What grain are you shooting?
For you hand loaders, which I hope to do, are you cutting back you're own cases?

Quick question, you realize you can't put a 9" barrel without registering the lower as an SBR or put a pistol buffer on it?

    Yes, 6-8 months.

triming the cases to length is a big PITA no matter whether you use the chop saw, case trimmer, or whatever. if youre going to load, just buy the 300blk primed brass in the 1k and be done with it.

whyd you get a 16" upper for this if you planned on running suppressed with the 9" bbl? that money should have been used to get the whole shooting match bought and paid for while waiting. unsupressed is a waste of time with this round.

Yes, and it's a $200 fee I think? Doing all this through a buddy that has the class3 ffl,
My plan is once my suppressor makes it here to go 9 inch.
Question for you Travis I didn't know if I could turn this 16 inch into a 9 or I'm I better off buying a 9? Can't I just buy a 9 inch barrel? I'm a major rookie when it comes to the AR/M4 type setup's. I've searched and read a lot of the Brain trust info on this site!! Some of you guys know your weapons big time!!!

the 9" bbl comes with a pistol length gas system, so make sure you get the gasblock and tube with it. cutting the 16" down wont work because the carbine length setup isnt enought to cycle supressed.

Tommy is spot on. Pistol length has system is the way to go so buy your barrel. I would get the Noveske 8" if you can find one. You can buy the barrel anytime, just don't put it on until your Form 1 for manufacturing a short barrel rifle comes back.

I also agree that there is no point in shooting this round unsuppressed. I never shoot mine without a suppressor. It seems that the preferred rounds for whitetail and pigs is the 110 grain Barnes TSX and the Nosler 125 grain hunting ballistic tip. For self defense the Barnes 110 grain TAC-TX is the best round available and possibly the 110 grain VMax. For subsonics, the 208 grain AMax or 220 grain OTM is the most popular.

And yep, all 5 of my stamps were darn near 6 months to the day, except the one where they lost my paperwork and it took 10 months.
