    Double H Boots - Quality?

Ok, I know lots of you guys hate the square toe boots, but I'm not asking for fashion advice here.

I'm looking at some Double H square toes that I like, but wanted to make sure they're worth the money. I've worn Frye square toe harness style boots for years, and want to try a different style square toe.

I've got a pair that I've worn for the last 2 years or so. Held up really good, but I haven't been just super hard on them either. They took a little breaking in to get comfortable but that's to be expected I guess. I'm happy with them.

If its for work I love my steel toes.. They are more comfortable than any I have tried so far including Justin, Rocky, Red Wing, Wolverine, and just about any other.. I haven't had them long enough to compare the durability yet.

Personally my double h only lasted 9 months which was disappointing considering my ariat made it 14 months. The whole inside of the boot was deteriorating. Click image for larger version

For the money I was very disappointed with quality.

The back heel of the boot was falling off an I was constantly stepping on plastic. Maybe I had a bad pair

I had the same boots, they lasted 5 months! I sent them back and they sent me a new pair after months of endless emails! I still haven't worn them, they have tags on them still!

I'm just looking for casual/everyday type boots. I'm not really hard on shoes I suppose. Had my Frye's for over 4 years.

I have some Anderson bean and twisted X that I've been happy with. I didn't like the double H from what I saw.

                  I'm HARD on boots.

My wife has some Frye boots. From what I've seen they are quality boots. I don't think double H will compare to them.

Worn these over two years, work, play, and anything in between, they are the ICE soles not the hard heal boots. I have just oiled em up a few times and have never missed a beat, definitely most comfortable pair of boots I wear

For casual Anderson Bean gets my vote big time.. I wear my old ones more than any of my new boots but after 6 years its about time to resole them.
