How do I keep mice out of our ATV/ hunting vehicles ?

We are having problems with mice chewing wires in our hunting vehicles! Does anyone have any advice on keeping them from doing so.

Do you have electricity at your lease? If so we would plug in one of those electronic rodent repellant and place one under the hood of each truck to keep them out.

Leave the hoods up on jeeps and trucks,or atleast prop them half open They hate the sunlight. Moth ball crystals sprinkled in and around also helps too.

Do not leave any corn in the truck ever, prop hood up 10-12" with a block and tie down so the shelter is not so inviting, cover any wires you can with sheathing. Do not put poison in the vehicle, put it on the ground in those black plastic houses they use around commercial buildings, you don't want to teach them to live in the engine compartment. Lastly, and I finally did this after losing the battle, keep your vehicle in a container!

just leave a peanut butter scented glue trap in there , they will go straight to that and not the seats or wires , doesnt spook deer either

Don't kill every "non-poisonous" snake you see. They will keep your rodent population under control

We put "Bounce" the things you place in the dryer - they hate those things and we replace them monthly. No more mice in the trailer. I put mine inside my saddle bags on my 4 Wheeler and have no issues.

I use Fresh Cab Scent. I bought mine off the internet so it was fresh. Tractor Supply sells it but if it has been on the shelf for a long time might not work so good.

Take some cats (strays) to the ranch.... They take care of mice... Rats... Even snakes around camp
