What I wouldn't do is call the GW. I swear, you could ask the same question to 10 different GW's and get 10 different answers.
I would however call Austin HQ and see if you can find the answer there.

If it was infinite, this deer would break every record and win every contest if you could make the spread whatever you wanted.
The deer has no spread. There is nothing to hold the tape on the other side. If anything you would measure spread to the other base which should also be less than 13".
But I won't be paying the ticket, so go what y'all want. Others have already suggested hiding it and eating it in camp.
