Thanks to Ellis Co. Shooting Range

Id like to give a big thanks to the Ellis County Shooting Range and the people that dedicate their time for the Waxahachie 4-H Archery Club. My daughter Ashlyn is a member and they practice every Thursday at this range free of charge. Ashlyn joined this group a few months ago and loves it! They are a big group of about 25 .Ranging from 9-17 years old. The range is also allowing the 4-H club to build a 3-D course which will hopefully be done real soon depending on time and funding for the archery club. Ashlyn loves the Coaches , and Jered was asked to assist the older and more advanced kids, which he really enjoys. Ive been told that there are 4-H archery tournaments and all the clubs competing have fun. Ive been very please with the numbers of kids in archery.
So here's a shout out for the promotion of archery through clubs , such as 4-H and good people willing to offer what they can.

I know the coaches well, great group of people, and yes, 4-H is a very good way to get the kids involved with archery. There will be several 4-H tournaments though out the year all over the state, I coach a 4-H archery club out of Coryell County. hopefully I'll get a chance to meet y'all at one of the tournaments.

I was pleasantly surprised on how many were involved. One of the coaches "Shannon" said that archery is one of fastest growing projects. Ashlyn may be showing in Feb. Hope to meet you too.

        New to archery

My 14 year old daughter has recently gotten into archery first a compound and now a recurve. We shoot in back yard but I don't know how to teach her. I was told that Ellis county gun range had archery lanes. How would I get her started there or somewhere fairly close to red oak or Waxahachie. She absolutely loves that and shooting just don't have any where other than about 15 yards in back yard, she is new but very eager to learn, she is not interested in hunting just the archery and .22 rifle shooting. She would like to get into competition shooting with bow and rifle. I just don't have the skill set to take her to those levels. Any information would be greatly appreciated . Thank you all ahead of time.
