    Tripod recommendations

My mom is looking to buy my dad a 15 ft tripod for Christmas and called me to get an idea on which ones to buy? She was looking to spend $350 or less on one. All she knew of was the ones at bass pro of course and I was afraid maybe they were cheaper and light weight so told her I would look and find one. So once again I turn to the green screen for help

Academy has a new double seat quadpod I have my eye on, floor has bigger area than others.

That quad pod at Academy does look sturdy with more room to move.

Avoid this one. Buddy bought one last year. Legs are weak and bend easy. We ended up scrapping most of it and just using the base and ladder to build a box blind. Legs are very thin material

Another issue we ran across in it's original design the seat is off set and gives you very little leg room on the off ladder side

Whole thing squeaks like a banshee

I got this one from Academy last year and it has been really good so far and comfortable.

How about checking into some of the site sponsors?
Maybe a good old American made Woodsy

I looked at the site sponsored ones and they didn't seem much different than the ones at chain stores but I could be wrong that's why I wanted input from people that have tripods. They didn't have very big platform not that I want huge one but one without being half acrobat to get in and out of because he is a bigger guy
