    geez, where does time go !! non hunt rant !

    I cant seem to get away and go hunting this year !! Almost frustrating to a point, luckily Im not that mad at dem deer Seems like something comes up every weekend and time is flying by. January will be here before you know it. I had planned to go after thanksgiving and now my wife says " I wanted to go buy a christmas tree"...what !?!? Week after my daughter turns 12 and I'm sure something else will come up the week after too. I must not be the only one cause I spoke to a buddy and hes hanging lights thanksgiving weekend ! Anybody else caught up in the holiday - do's ?

    You can go get a christmas tree during the week...............my wife understands my obsession for hunting and she let's me go as I please.

      i was on call this past weekend, this weekend i have a benefit cook, dec 8 im helping set up a christmas cruise/tree lighting and we are cooking to sell bbq, dec 22 we are smoking 100 turkeys for "some other place"........before this time change i had time to run up after work but now its dark when i get off

        ohhh no, she likes to go to the christmas tree farm and cut one down.-----AAAAFter we've walked around 5 acres of trees with a wagon and bow saw !!

          ive let my wife know that these 3 months are important to me and she has the majority of the other 9. I still put lights up, hang decorations, honey dos, etc... but I do them during the week or late sunday afternoons (im usually back after the morning hunt on sundays)....even if its dark outside. We have had plenty of fights in the pre marriage years about my hunting passion, and eventually came to an understanding.

            oh, its not that bad. no fights or telling me what to do, its just seems now days theres always something to do and weeks fly by. We've been married 12 years and known each other since teenagers.

              Like a spool of thread, the smaller it gets the faster it goes. Lifespan is like that also.

                Hand her a good pair of gloves and slap her on the Ol behin and say "Have Fun Babe!" as you loading your stuff up to go hunting.

                  I understand were your coming from on this. I have only hunted 41 times this season. Oh wait, maybe I don't know were your coming from on this.
