I'm not getting old, I just don't fish enough

Took the day off yesterday and went fishing all by myself. Lemme tell ya, no plans, no itinerary, no deadline (except picking the boy up from school)...it was muy excellente. The fishing wasn't any good, but the not working was fan-freaking-tastic.

    I'm sore today.

I think I musta over-exerted myself with all the not working, and now my back and casting arm shoulder are sore. Doan's back pills and a couple episodes of Sit and Be Fit are probably in order.

I'm 38, which is right around that age where you accept that you're not 19 anymore, but you're still clinging on to fact that you can hang with any 25yr old alive. Still, there's no excuse for bodily damage after a lazy day of fishing.

Since its not age, it must be that my fishing muscles are out of shape. The only way I know to prevent this from happening in the future is more fishing.

And just like drinking the hair of the dog that ya the next morning, I plan to do a little more fishing today to stretch it all out. I am for once thankful my daughter has pinkeye. Looks like she and I just might have a heck of a "sick day".

My buddy said that his Grandpa once told him "gettin' old ain't for wimps."

Well...he used another word for wimps, but it is not appropriate here, so I substituted.

If you don't mind it don't matter.

When you really get old, like me, then you can talk. LOL

Just get a cork and some minnows and really chillax

I'm suffering from Cat jerk elbow but it'll be better when the weather warms a little.
