    programmer help for silverado

    Ok I have a 06 silverado CC, LS 2WD with the 4.8l V8.
I just recently lowered it and put on 22” rims with 265/35R tires. I also installed a K&N air filter to my stock intake, and a Bullit muffler with exhaust exiting before the rear passanger tire.
I want to get a programmer to calibrate the speedometer and wheel size. I also want to get a little better fuel economy. And when it’s a fun day have some more power and performance.
Im looking into these programmers :
    -EDGE CS or CTS
-Banks IQ Flash or Banks Automind Programmer
    -Superchips vivid
Or the- HYPERTECH Max Energy Programmer.
If anyone knows anything about any of these programmers, PLEAASEEE help me out !! give me your knowledge and personal input if you have any or recommend any of these programmers.

people keep telling me to get a custom tune for my truck but im skiddish about those, plus im short for cash(fear of a custom tune being too high in price)

i have a 07 4wd silverado with 5.3l and have been running the edge cs since it was new. i have 160,000 miles and havent had one problem with it. i keep mine on #2(fuel economy mode) most of the time, avg about 2 miles per gallon more with this setting. It also does calibrates tires/wheel size and takes off the factory govener. hope this helps

If you don't want to go the EFIlive or HPtuners route (500-700), I would go with a predator.

Don't waste your time with ANY of those hand helds or live things they are JUNK!! Do it right and get a Black Bear.
They are not any more than the hand helds. Run about 350 ish.

Just like the two posts above me. Black bear tune is the best. Its a custom tune that you can do wht you want with. If you want a tune for cheap octane and fuel economy then thats what u get. But you also will gain a bit in power as well.

Charley Wheatley is a good dude and knows his LS motors.
