I was hunting Saturday night and just about time to get out of the stand a doe shows up. Only deer I saw all weekend, so I decided to take a shot. We played the usual game of cat and mouse, until she finally looked out towards the road away from me. I drew and let one fly. My dad showed up to help me look for my arrow but we could not find it. I couldn't see where my arrow went and we found a handful of hair on the ground where the doe was standing. I have never seen so much hair on the ground after the shot. When I shot, the doe fell on her back, did a 360 as if she was chasing her tail and I was sure I nailed her. But we found no blood, no arrow, only a bunch of hair.
We decided to track her in the morning since it is cold enough and we could not see very well. Went out the next morning and found my arrow stuck in a tree with no blood on it at all. That doe got the closest shave I have ever seen, now only if they would make my razors that sharp
Anyone ever had this happen before?
