    Port O'Connor bite

Seems the bite is on down at POC. My dad and his friend went down there for a few days last week. Wish I could have gone but work had me tied up. Said they landed 38 fish over 2 1/2 days. Here are a few pics of the better fish.

I was at the jetty this past saturday morning. 18 mph winds and aig rollers between the rocks. I don't mind a bronco ride but when I was in the trough looking up at the swell and they started breaking over, we headed for calmer waters on the bay side. A few blacktips were all we landed.

They used skitter walks early in the morning and caught a fair amount of trout. They switched to silver/gold spoons and plum/chartreuse sand eels during during the day and caught lots of keeper reds and trout on them. I believe the bigger drum were caught with cut crab and piggy perch.
