    Ranger windshield????

I am going to purchase a windshield for my new ranger. I have looked online at all the different options and would like to get some input from people who have one. Any info would be helpful.

Get one with auto saftey glass, their the real deal. The plastics scratch much to easily, all the dust and mud takes a quick toll.

I really like the Fortress sliding windshield. I think its one of the best ones out there, but it isn't cheap. $550 was the best price I found.
I made my own out of a big piece of Lexan I had. Cut it in half, put a long piano hinge in the middle and made it a folding windshield. I also ran a piece of 1" square tubing across the middle for support but it also makes a great gun rest when the windshield is down. Form fitted the bottom to fit across the raised parts in the front and then used auto-trim molding to line it for protection and give it a better seal. Whole thing turned out pretty good.

I'd get one you can take off easily. They are great for the cold but most the time I don't like having a windshield at all. Especially on dusty roads..

I bought a Koplin that was advertised as a "Full Tilting Windsheild". It is divided into 2 pieces, an upper and a lower. The way it is described makes it sound like the top will tilt open to a fully open postion. It dosn't, If you want one that you can open enough to shoot thru, don't make the mistake I did and buy this one. If I had not ordered it from Amazon and returning would be such a hassle to ship back, I would return it. I agree with the other posts, a folding windsheild could be a better choice.
