    Tree Stand Question?

    Hey Green Screen,

Need some help here. I am thinking about relocating and setting up a tree stand deeper in the area I hunt! Problem is (yes I didnt prep for this during summer which is the first problem) so I do not have a tree trimmed for this yet. Second problem we are going into prime time right now on our property and the comotion would obviously be a problem. Third our property is a small little corner that is no bigger than 60 acres max. Currently we hunt a feeder that is just on the outskirts of the heavier cover. I am certain the bucks are in this heavier cover! Granted they may come out for a doe during this peak, but the bucks will also be pushing these doe into the heavier cover soon as well! But I know we are missing out on good bucks cause we do have some on cameras that we had placed deeper in the woods.

So any advice on how to do this, what time during the day or night would be best? or if I should even do this at all? or should I just avoid the comotion and prepare better next year!

    Thanks Everyone!

Hunt from the ground and disturb as little as possible. Moving into their bedroom right now could push the deer out, especially since it is such a small place.

I too am thinking a ground blind may be a good option as well

Yeah thank you, I was thinking that too just brush blinding a spot. My thought was possibly waiting till my little properties hunters peak mellowed out (going in after the does disapeared from my feeder) however, I have five days coming up next week to hunt my property and man I want to go into the heavier cover!

I'm in the exact same boat.. Have a tree stand but think I need to change it up. Going a little deeper into the property and decided to setup a ground blind on a trail crossing. For ease I just bought a pop-up blind, hasn't even come in yet. Got a Rhino in Predator Fall Brown. Can't believe I found one since they discontinued them.

So ya, I think that's a good choice.

I just moved 2 different stands today in the thick stuff. A ladder stand and a hang on. If your not seeing deer then you need to be where they are. I moved mine at 1pm. I hunt on 20 acres. If they bump and go then I'll take the next ones to fill their spot. Never be worried about making a move at least I'm not.

Maybe gets some climber stands so you can set up where ever the action is. I think that would be the best choice!

move it and get out so it can rest for a few days. Then go hunt it. You may be lucky and it rain right after you hang. I hung a new stand on a small trail 8 days ago. I sweated my butt off and I probably wont hunt it until this next Saturday at the earliest. It may very well pay off for you.
