A landowner near my is putting up a high fence around his place. Thats fine with me but problem is he has only started clearing the fence line he does not have any part of the fence up and last year he got approval to take 25 doe and this year he can take 15. I only have 14 acres and ever year except this year I always had at least 8 doe bedded down on my land. How can he be able to take so many deer without having the fence built.

How many acres does he have? What level of MLD is his place on? And if you have 8 does bedding on 14 acres, some of them need to be gone IMO to ease the strain on the habitat.

Think he has a couple hundred acres. I found out he has 2 seven acre food plots and all the deer are staying on his place. I just don't think he should be able to take that many unless he has his fence completed. This in in Robertson county just outside of Hearne.

its his land as long as he has the tags he can take as many as he wants, either through MLD or getting lots of folks to come out and shoot

Maybe you should ask him to let you dart those 15 does and let them out of his fence instead of him shooting them all.

the high fence has nothing to do with it. he can be on mld whether he has the fence or not.

lol what exactly does his fence have to do with how many deer he can kill? legally, if you wanted to kill every one of those deer on your place and you had the tags or let enough people hunt, you could kill them all
