.257 Roberts

Never shot one (yet) but I just scored a rare Remington 7600 257 Roberts yesterday!

I found one a month ago and couldn't pass it up. I get roughly 1 in groups with hornady 117 btsp. Just loaded some 117 sst's with 4 different powders in half grain increments from min to max. Need to get the wind to lay down and head to the range with it. It is a 1909 Argentine Mauser with Douglas bbl, timney trigger and fajen stock. I love the gun and can't wait to get a load developed for it and try it on deer.

My .257 improved shoots lights out with rl 19 and the hornady 117 gr SST. It has accounted for many a deer in the past three seasons from 40 yards to 230 I have not had to look for one yet

I have a Model 70 Featherweight that I traded for years ago. 100 gr. Swift Sirocco's over a max load of IMR 4350 and it's lights out for anything I shoot at.
