Here is a pic with my sons scoped 30-30 and a cull 7pt with no brows he shot last year. . He has shot quite a few deer with this gun. Scope is a Nikon 2x7x32.
My dads old model 94 has an old side mount on it. Took my first deer with that gun. I'm a bolt gun man, but that rifle will always hold a special place with me.

I still have my first deer rifle, a Marlin Glenfield 30-30 with a cheap 4x Weaver scope. Got it back in the early 80's. Would show a picture, but my nephew uses it now.
I've got a couple old marlin 30 30's and I have really been thinking really hard of going the "tactical" route with one of them. they make a foreward mounting tac rail for eotechs and other red dots, also can add other junk to it. They look really sweet that way and with the leverevolution rounds they are bad a**.

I like your style........same setup, '66 model 336 30-30, Nikon 2-7x32....old eyes can't see the irons anymore and scoping a 30-30 really helps extend it's useful range. BTW, Savage made a bolt gun in the 340 model........
