Glad I use slick tricks in case that sneaky old rusty barrel gives me a good quartering away shot.

That's a pretty cool but expensive test. I'll second the three blade rage not opening, I had some that I shot into the target a few times and there was always a blade or two that hung up on each other.

I say NOPE. Only true test of a BH is on an animal, period. All will work and kill animals if placed properly. Some will fail, maybe all at least once, but some or more suceptable to failure because of design and materials. Heck, a field point will penetrate that ole rusty barrel better than some BH's and will probably come out intact 100% of the time and they will kill an animal if placed in the heart lung area.

Well I truthfully say I have never had one of my Muzzy fell to open. Love my fixed blades.

But what happens to the broadheads when it hits a big bone?
Slick tricks held up pretty good and they are wicked sharp.

Rage Ti's hold up great on heavy bone. I posted a test on here with em. The aluminums dont. An incidental test was done to find that out the hard way.

Once again, this deer was already DEAD!!!
Rage Ti test. Heavy part of the shoulder bone just above the socket in the shoulder quartering to. First pic is the entrance. Second is the head, bent bleeder tip thats it, third is the inside of the shoulder next to the ribs. This was a toucher test.

Soooooo...........the moral of the story is:

If you want to ruin a broadhead, shoot a rusty barrel!

The results did show that fixed blade broadheads hold up way better than expandables when they hit something real hard.
