Chl but no hunters Ed?

Do you have to have the hunters Ed even if u have the chl? I'm assuming you do. Just doesn't make much sense.

Yes... Hunters ed is much more than just gun safety. Chl is for concealed carry, not hunting

If you were born before 71 you don't need hunters ed. You can pay $10 and defer it for one year but you have to be with a hunter 18+ who has hunters ed and next year you have to have it.


Chl and hunters ed are in no way related whatsoever.

Has your friend ever read the Outdoor Annual? The regulation book that everyone that sells a license has on their counter? Does he know how many deer he can take in whatever county he hunts?
I guess someone told him how many deer he can take...

He hunts his own ranch. On mld. Has never hunted anywhere but there. Guess that's how he has gotten away with it this long. He's gonna have to get it. Thanks for everyones help.

He doesn't need to worry about tagging a buck... he needs to worry about getting his hunter's education BEFORE even attempting to hunt. If he's required to have it and is checked by the GW while hunting, he will be cited.
