How can I securely attach a blind I am building to the deck it sits on? I bought some small brackets from lowes, but I don't think they will be enough. I plan to dig post holes, so I am not worried about anchoring the deck, just need to make sure the blind isn't going to blow off the deck in a strong wind. Would 2x4 cross bracing outside the blind to anchor the walls to the deck help? Seems like it would to me, but I have never seen that before. What do y'all use?

The walls are framed with 2x2s, skinned with 1/4 ply outside, and 5mm ply inside. All cavities are filled with sheet insulation or great stuff spray foam. I thought about angling screws into the framing from underneath the deck. The framing is soft wood, just don't know if that would be strong enough.Last edited by jackh; 11-09-2012, 10:51 PM.
