Ruger American Rifle

Anyone own a Ruger American? I'm thinking about buying one in .270 and just wanted to get some opinions before I make the purchase.

I held one the other day, feels nice. I like how it didnt feel bulky!

ante up the extra dough and buy a M77. I've shot one for 15 years.

the american is just like all those other "entry" level guns. if you want strickly a truck gun, its a good choice, but for a hunting rifle there is no way I'd buy one of those or a remington 770.

I hate those cheap feeling plastic stocks.

If you want a lower end synthetic rifle, but a remington 700 sps
