    John Wiley Price

Those of you in DFW are familiar with Mr. Price I'm sure. He's been a county commissioner for decades and can best be described as the Jesse Jackson of Dallas. He's currently under federal investigation for taking bribes and shady land deals and is most likely going to be federally indicted.

He won reelection last night with 71% of the vote. That speaks volumes about the sad shape of our nation and lends insight into how events unfolded across the nation yesterday. Very sad.

It amazes me how some folks will cast a blind vote.

I am not sure how a long standing criminal that represents a very minority rich part of Dallas county is a reflection of the entire country. But if you say so I guess.

He will always win because he only has a core of voters in his district that he panders to at any cost. And his opinions carry as much weight in Dallas county commissioners court as mine do. He will either pass away or retire soon enough and south east Dallas county will not even notice.

Glen it actually is kind of a reflection to a bunch of areas of our country. Cynthia McKinney comes to mind.

He's a snake oil con man who has conned his way into a permanent role (since 1985!).

District 3 (South east Dallas) certainly has bought in.

But he would not win anythig if he ran outside his district. Sad when people vote based on race rather than character and substance.

He was a big-time crook when I lived in Dallas 25 years ago. How can he still be in office? Another Marion Barry.

Wife and I were having the same discussion last night. They don't get much dirtier than this guy yet so many still voted for him. Based on several ppl that I talked to black and white, the blacks feel he's being targeted by prejudice whites wanting him out. My FBI source says he's going to go down. I hope she's right. I personally can't stand the guy and his prejudice, immature whining and antics.

It might be a reflection of some areas, but surely not the entire country. And certainly it enough of a reflection to condemn the entire country to ruination because of a high percentage of voters in a fairly impoverished section of Dallas county.
