    Browning 12 gauge A5 Question

I recently came across a browning a5 light twelve and can not find out what value this gun holds. I called browning with the serial number and they said it was a 1967 model and made in belgium but on the barrell it says japan. I have searched a lot on line but cant pin point anything. It also says invector plus special steel on the barrel. Could someone help me with finding exactly what i have out. i have pics and the serial number to help out. Thanks guys

Could be a replacement barrel. Those guns are hard to find rthat people haven't fixed up to sell. If that is so, I would think it will not have the full value

I imagine the barrel was swapped for choke reasons. The belgium/jap models are pretty close on price complete. Idk what the mismatched barrel would do for it. A very good belgium light twelve will run you about $750. I'd probably go $600 or so pending condition.

That's a desireable barrel. Someone took an old Belgian made Browning a rigged it up for duck hunting. What kind of shape is it in?

Belgian models are going for $600-$700 dependent on grade. Japanese models are also sought after. They stopped making them in Belgium in 74 or 75 then took them over to Japan. Could have been after that time that the barrel was replaced for some reason and fitted with a "japanese barrel"

many/all of the belgium barrels wouldn't hold up to steel shot. sounds like someone fixed that problem.

I bet someone wanted a different choke or the vent rib. Doubt it would affect value too much. But stock looks like it may have been refinished to me from picture. My guess 550-650.
