    Hunting in Leakey

    My buddy has a new lease in Leakey and we are wondering when the rut is there? Opening weekend was a bust and he wants to go back when the bucks are chasing. I know in South Texas, it is really late in the year. Thoughts?

    Wish I could help I haven't made it there this year. Last year I think it was a week before thanksgiving

      Typically the rut near Leakey has been Dec 8-18th.

      Except for 2 years ago when they were chasing for 2 months!!
