    Need some input

From people who have deal with or have dealt with accidents and car repairs. Last night while I was driving in for the lease my wife calls and said she ran her car off the road. Ends Up she drove it nose first off a 32" culvert. Not knowing really what kind of damage there might or might not be, I told here if there was no sheet metal damage, have it towed the mile to the house. The only she could tell me is it was leaking tranmission fluid.

Here what I have found so far. Trashed transmission pan, Small dent at the very bottom of the right fender at the door, Front bumper cover trashed. The drivers door touches the fender when opening might be able to adjust it out. The right fender looks like it might be pushed up less than a 1/4" at the door.

I thought about doing the minor work myself and just leaving the right front fender alone. The car carries full coverage (her idea) 2005 Ford Taurus 180000 miles value approx 4700.00

Do I call the insurance co or just do the repairs myself and not deal with them.

I would call the insurance and have them look at it. With that many miles they may total it. There is a lot of dage done from what your discribing...money wise. Body parts, labor, paint, labor for the paint. That stuff adds up quick. I wouldn't be surprised if you have more the. $5000 worth of damage.
