    Tips

Im wanting to try and replace vanes on my arrows, i have the fletching jig vanes and glue...any of you guys have any tips to help me out? Thanks.

Make sure and get all the old glue off. I slightly rough the surface on the arrow. Seems I get a better hold with the glue. Never had to do this until I started shooting Beeman MFX arrows. Glue would not hold well untill I started roughing the surface a little.

Only tip I can give you is to chunk all that stuff in the trash and get some NAP Quikfletch and be done with all of that headache and waste of time.

Don't use fletching glue. Use super glue

So regular everyday super glue? And this is better than the tube of fletch tite?

clean those shafts good! i mean good! use a knife or fletch stripper to get off all you can and be thorough! then go back with rubbing alcohol and a paper towel and clean them even better. ive always used fletch tite and never had a problem at all. also, vanes seemed to work best when glued to wraps, that made them stick really really well.

Zip strip is your friend. It's a little pricey but works like a champ.

I saw a sticky that suggested acetone so i used that..fletch tite is what i have already so im trying a couple with that before super glue. Here is what the first looked like...
