    Why time change?

Why is there a time change every fall and spring ? I wish they would leave one way or the other .

I think it's to get the most light out of a day..

I agree with you, ks. The amount of daylight doesn't change at all. In this day and age, we have enough lights in suburbia and the city that darkness never comes. Those of us in the country are always up before daylight.

It sucks, and I dont remember why...There's a state or two that don't "celebrate" D.L.T"..Pretty sure Arizona doesn't recognise it...

TV networks want you in the house earlier to watch their BS in the fall.

          Hence new "fall lineups"

Ticks me off. Have to wake up earlier to hunt in the morning AND less light after I get off work. Day length is already getting shorter and they just made it worse.

I had a boss that would start a petition every year to send to the congressman and try his hardest to get a meeting with him to abolish DST

IIRC it was originally put in place to help farmers with having the most daylight year round (or something to that affect). It really has no place in modern society and is more of a headache than anything else. I know AZ doesn't acknowledge it but I don't remember the other states that don't

Wasn't it started by Ben Franklin or somebody in that era?

One of the primary reasons for the change was so our children would not be in the dark at the bus stop.

I don't follow it. I do change my clocks, but I go to work an hour early so that I have the same amount of day light after work. That is when I get things done and am able to hunt.

I wish it would stay the same. I'm up before sunrise and done usualy an hour after dark, sometimes longer. Winter hours kind of stink but thats just the way it is. With the time changes it makes it annoying and nothing more.

I don't remember exactly who, but it was probably about that time frame. I remember seeing a supposed quote from an Indian guy a while back that said "Only a white man would think that you could make a blanket longer by cutting a foot off the top and adding it to the bottom." Made me laugh because that's kinda the way I fell about it
