I have a good friend who doesnt hunt that has 600 acres near Caddo, Oklahoma. I have permission to hunt it. It has never been hunted by anyone in their family. I have looked at aerial photos and there is plenty of cover and water. Question is what type of potential does that area have. I currently hunt south east kansas, but this would be free. Im just curious if anyone hunts that area. Any info would be appreciated. It is about one hour north of sherman on 75.

I know there have been some big deer killed there. Just didn't know about numbers and what realistic expectations are for that area. I think there is a decent turkey population in that county.Comment

I'm not an authority on anything,but since you asked...
If there's deer in the area already,and it doesn't cost anything to hunt it you could grow 'em up,no matter the genetics.Besides that,if it's just like all other deer pastures there's no telling what you might see.Comment
