So I went out on Sat. and sat in a bush about 25 yards from the feeder. At about 7:00 am two bucks come around. I'm hunting in McClennan County and the antlers have to be outside the ears. Anyway these two were not shooters, and this year we are concentrating on Kulls and Doe anyway. Side note there was no wind. So I just sat there watching these two bucks for 30 minutes. Then I hear a noise to my side I slowly look over and see a Doe in my peripheral. I turn my head and both bucks shoot up looking straight at me. I'm sitting slightly in front of this bush so from the side the Doe was WAY leery of me. The bucks looking straight at me couldn't tell a difference because I was like a ninja. So I'm trying to look at the Doe and get a yardage while not spooking the bucks. This does not happen they strte at me and the doe goes around a bush toward the feeder. Then I get to watch one of the bucks chase her around and eventually run off. So my only shot of the day is gone and I have a buck just eating. He walks off, I sit for another .45 minutes and call it a day. It was a very cool experience, to see the bucks and does interact on such a way while being so close.

I was wearing a ghillie suit jacket and hat. 50 bucks at gander mountain. Best money I've spent this far. Also the lack of wind or just something the bucks kept looking at me and sniffing the air. I had a tinks per rut in a tinks bomb scent container. So I don't know if the lack of wind or the scent bomb helped hide me a bit more. Either way it was very cool.
