    NE TX rut activity??

I've seen lots of young bucks on their feet more during the day, but give us feedback on what you've seen, and where in NE TX. Thanks

I live in Canton. Saw some bucks still bachelored up this week. We hunt in Athens and have not seen any significant signs of rut or even pre-rut. They are not hitting the scrapes very regularly. The deer you are seeing midday is likely due to the full moon.

I'd give it about three or four more days, definately by next weekend. I'm in S.E. Kaufman County.

Robby, Im right down the road from your place and I have the same thing going. I went from all does on camera to half are the same three or four young bucks and two look good like shooters, but I will pass. The rutt is fixing to pop off in R.R.CO. I would say very soon. That spike I shot had really good stains on his hock pads.

I've got 3 new scrapes since yesterday and saw several young bucks chasing this morning in Wood County.

We have seen the activity picking up in Central Texas but starting slow in east Tx. Seen a couple great bucks shot out there though from some prerut action. Get a little colder weather and I think you'll be in excellent shape

All I've seen is the young bucks chasing or sniffing around. I saw one older buck Saturday and his neck wasn't swollen any. Shouldn't be long though. This was in Cass county
