    Crowell, Texas. Who hunts it?

I got a hunt coming up in December there and I was just curious to see any pics y'all may have.

One of the biggest bucks I have seen was running across 1187 just on the other side of 1992

We own a ranch there and have a few leased. Where are you hunting?

There are some great deer in that area but it usually depends on the place you are hunting. If it is semi managed and bucks can get some age on them then you see excellent results. On places that people can't help themselves and shoot 120-135" 3.5yr old deer then than is about what you get. That area can produce 180"+ and has as recently as last year and a few the year before. They just need some time to get there. It seems to me the guys selling hunts in that area are shooting a lot of 3.5 year old deer with an occasional better deer based on pictures they post on their websites. Well managed places their can consistently produce 150" or better. Not a whole lot of deer but trophy potential is there.

I hunt just south of Crowell on hwy 6. Been seeing some decent deer so far. I just set up a new stand it was a little late but well see. May have some pics after this weekend.
Haven't seen but 1 or 2 shooters though. Which for us is 140 plus and 4.5 and older preferably 5.5

I'm hunting on a company lease up there. It's a 10k acre lease. Not real sure of exact location.

I am just east of Thalia. Like dclifton said lots of predators there. We have lots of deer as well. Seen a mt lion on our place two yrs ago. And as TxTechsan said don't shoot the first lil one, there are lots of big mature deer there.

It's a good area but the droughts have put a hurting on it

I own a ranch south of Thalia, have not been there much this year, too many other hunts, we do have some good deer, one problem we have is there is a local outfitter that day leases a wheat field that borders us, the people pay x amount and shoot whatever comes out, they hunt the fence line of a huge ranch, nothing illegal about it, just disheartening to see young bucks killed that we been feeding protein to year round.
