Never even crossed my mind to tip at Sonic. They just bring yu the food and not much else. They don't take your order a person does over a mic right? They don't do refills or check on you. All they do is bring you food if you're parked. Whataburger does that if you're dining in and I don't tip them either, nor have I ever seen anyone elae tip them. Have I been eating at Sonic the wrong way all these years. I do tip at least 20% at general sit down restraunts though.

Lol. I try to stay away from burgers at any fast food joint. Highschool kids making minimum wage handling my food ehh ehh. You can have it. But for the record when I do eat fast food I absolutely check it. I like to avoid "the special"

I'm pretty sure that carhops get paid a regular wage. And no I don't tip them. They bring food take money and leave. Then if you need ketchup you have to wait while they go back in and get it. Do you tip at an all you can eat buffet? All they do is bring you a glass of tea and a fortune cookie.

Cory car hopped at sonic over the summer. If you were on skates you made around $6.00 an hour plus tips. If you weren't on wheels, it was about $3.50 an hour plus tips. They didn't combine and share tips. Imagine if you can, a 245 lb linebacker on roller blades. He made good tips!
