Does this interfere with a morning or afternoon hunt that much? Or is mid day the time to hunt? I'm trying to take advantage of the cooler weather but wasn't sure. Moon looks really bright here in brazos county.

I tend to sit bell to bell on full moons.
Some stay up to late and wake up late.
Others stay right on time. Others get up to early and take an early nap, then come out to early at night.
I usually see deer move all day long during full moons.

Just when I start to swear by the lunar table, I will have deer moving typical morning and evening times. I would say sitting 830 till 300 is best best but that more or less equals all dayI guess best way to put it is u stand a better chance of seeing deer mid morning, noon and early afternoon on full moon days than on typical non-full moon days. If u have a stand that just isn't conducive for an all day sit - I would get in stand at 1pm and hunt rest of day. I have heard more peopl see deer between 145 and 300 on these types of days.

I used to hate full moon hunting....now that I better understand it, it's not "so bad". I would say to sleep in late and leave early (focusing on mid day), but I have found I still have some really early and really late movement, so I just try and hunt all day during the full moon.
We have been a little early with the Northern Alberta whitetail rut the past two seasons, so we're pushing out hunt back a week and looking at full moon in November.Proud member since 1999
