I started off this morning with my toes freezing and the morning starting slow with only the sight of a coyote because I shot a hog last night and gutted it in the woods near my stand. As 9 o'clock rolls around I start getting that "dang breakfast and heater sound good" abd my brother sitting at another stand asking when I'm going to pick him up. So I tell him I have a funny feeling the deer are going to still be moving. Sure enough I wait 20 more minutes then I stand up to stretch and see movement behind me it's a doe shes coming in slow in a thicket and then I see behind her a hoss of a eight point the get out to 25 yards behind me but i couldn't ever get a clear shot. They then circle around me staying out of bow range and at about 45 yards I get to watch him make a scrape and rub then start running her then eventually they run off. 5 minutes later here comes another small 8 down following the same doe where they just went then 3 more minutes here comes another small 8 doing the same then 7 minutes later here comes a 6 point doing the same following the sane trail where that doe walked.
No I didn't shoot anything but it was awesome to watch. Especially since I'm in east Texas in Montgomery county where I don't see anything often, anyone ever witness 4 bucks trailing the same doe?.
