Not taking all of the meat

I've heard of guys that only take the blackstrap and leave everything else. I'm curious, is that illegal or just wasteful?

Awful. Seen it on poached deer. Found a deer carcass missing head and backstraps only. Disgraceful.

I have a friend with a place in Love county OK.He has problems with poachers,He and I went to his place one morning to try and whack a couple hogs,when we got to his front gate their was a deer hanging on i, a little spike and all they took where the backstraps .It was very sad to see a wasteful disgrace like that.
